Engineered for Spills

Catches Every Drop, Drains Itself

The integrated drain runs the length of the rail — every spill, melt, and condensation drip routes straight into your bar's plumbing instead of pooling on the bar top.

  • Full-length integrated drain — no hot spots, no overflow
  • Tilted floor pitches liquid toward the drain port automatically
  • Pre-piped 2" connection — your contractor hooks up in minutes

Built for Pour Speed

A Workspace That Moves With You

4.7 inches wide and barely 3/4 of an inch tall — wide enough for any glass, low enough that bartenders pour right over it without breaking rhythm.

  • Slim profile keeps the bar top clear for service and prep
  • Fits behind speed rails, in front of stations, or as a standalone gutter
  • Polished 304 finish wipes clean between shifts in seconds

Designed to Match

Pairs With Every Kobayashi Station

Same 304 stainless steel, same 16-gauge thickness, same satin finish — sized to match the 52", 65", or 88" cocktail station so your bar reads as one continuous build.

  • Matching gauge and finish — no visible seam against the station
  • Three lengths so the rail terminates exactly where the station does
  • Surface-mount with included hardware — no welding, no carpentry

Two Ways to Install It

Every Kobayashi drink rail ships with an integrated 2" drain pre-piped on the underside. Pick whichever install style fits your bar build — both options are flush-clean and contractor-friendly.

Option 1 · Surface Mount

On Top of the Counter

Sits flush on the existing bar top. The only cut your contractor makes is a 2" hole below the rail's drain port for plumbing access.

  1. Position the rail along the bartender side of the bar top
  2. Mark and drill a 2" hole through the counter directly under the rail's drain
  3. Run a bead of food-grade silicone where the rail meets the bar top
  4. Set the rail and connect the 2" drain to your existing plumbing line
Option 2 · Flush Inset

Cut Into the Bar Top

Drop the rail into a full-size cutout in the bar top so the lip sits flush with the surrounding counter — bartenders pour straight in without an edge.

  1. Trace the rail's outline onto the bar top and cut the opening
  2. Drill a 2" drain hole below the rail's pre-piped port
  3. Apply food-grade silicone around the cutout's perimeter
  4. Drop the rail in flush; secure under-side with brackets and connect plumbing

How to Measure for Your Rail

Four checks before you order — takes about two minutes with a tape measure.

01
Define the work zone

Find the exact start and end of the bartender's prep area — typically the length of your ice bin and cocktail stations.

02
Measure the length

Match it to the closest size — 52", 65", or 88". Three lengths cover most standard underbar setups.

03
Note any obstacles

Beer taps, POS terminals, conduit — confirm they sit clear of the rail's 4.7" footprint.

04
Confirm overhang

Bar tops typically overhang 10-12" for guest comfort — make sure the rail won't push that geometry past spec.

Common Questions

A drink rail (sometimes called a spill rail) keeps the bar top clean and protects it from moisture damage. It contains the inevitable spills, drips, and condensation runoff inside a designated wet zone with an integrated drain — so your bartenders work faster and your bar surface lasts longer.
End-of-shift: flush the trough with water to clear residue, then wash with warm water, mild detergent, and a soft cloth. Rinse thoroughly and wipe dry to prevent water spots. Avoid abrasive pads or chlorine-based cleaners — they damage the satin finish on 304 stainless.
Surface-mount is the faster install: rail sits on top of the bar with a 2" drain hole drilled below, sealed with food-grade silicone. Flush inset takes longer (full cutout in the bar top) but gives a seamless surface bartenders pour straight onto. For most retrofits we recommend surface-mount; for new bar builds the flush inset reads cleaner.
Every Kobayashi drink rail is 304 stainless steel — the industry standard for service bar surfaces. It resists corrosion from citrus acids, sugars, and cleaning chemicals, and won't pit or rust under normal commercial use. Each unit ships 100% clean and passivated for maximum corrosion resistance out of the box.
Yes — every drink rail is backed by a lifetime structural guarantee on the stainless body, welds, and integrated drain. Designed to outlast your bar.
